The Head Coach of the Steelers has been adamant about the fact that his team runs the AFC North. There have been many times when media outlets have caught soundtracks of the head coach claiming his team is the best team in the AFC North. With the Bengals winning the Super Bowl last year, that statement looked like a complete joke. But after last night’s victory over the Bengals, which makes two since the arrival of their coach, they are the ones laughing. The Steelers, even with a loss on the season, look like they, with the Raiders, are the best in the AFC. With a cold explosive offense that no one has been able to stop, this team may be in the Super Bowl come February. They were voted most likely to improve this year, and they have exceeded those expectations. There still is a lot of season left, but man, this team looks good.
For the Bengals, this is kind of shocking. Last year, around this time they were undefeated. Now sitting here in week 9, they are 5-3. No one expects this team to slip that far, but it is crazy to see. One more loss may guarantee that they won’t get a first-round bye which means a tougher road to two-peat. But like the Bengals Head Coach said, they are in a rut and they will get out of it. I believe that and I believe it will be very soon. This is what champions go through. And they have already proven that they are champions.
