While we are only in week 4 the matchup between the Vikings and Bears has some very serious playoff implications. The Vikings sit at a surprising 3-0 and the Bears sit at 2-1. This game has serious playoff implications because the Bears can take the lead in the division with a win in this game, while if the Vikings can win this game they take a commanding two game lead on the rest of the division. These early season divisional matches may not seem important to the naked eye, but the coaches and players know just how important this game is when it comes to making the playoffs. I spoke to the Vikings head coach and he said, “This game is so important when you look at how the season is going to go, if we can win this one we are looking at a two game lead in the division. We have already won one division game and we hope to win all of them, these our are rivals and the team wants this one bad.” The first year Vikings head coach has surprised the league starting 3-0, the last coach had Vikings heading in the wrong direction, missing the playoffs bad last year, but the new coach has already beat last years division champs in the Lions, and rookie Jalen Milroe has been so impressive.

The Bears have also started this season on the right foot as new coach Deion Sanders has the Bears starting on the right foot and the rookie Shedeur Sanders has shown flashes showing that he is the guy. There have been some turnover concerns with Shedeur, but he has lead the Bears to two early wins both of them in the NFC showing that this Bears team has real playoff aspirations. This Bears team also realizes that the season is young, but a win this week would start them on the right foot to winning the division.
