The Chicago Bears may be sitting at 4-6, but let me tell you one thing this team is no joke, and really should be looked at as a playoff team. The Bears have played one of the toughest early season schedules, but sitting here after the holiday break it sure looks like they have made it through the teeth of their schedule still in playoff position. Looking at some of the teams that the Bears have had to play this year, they have lost to mainly the top teams in the league. Three of their six losses have come to teams that are currently atop their division: the Commanders, the Vikings, and the Bengals. The NFC North drew the AFC North this year in the scheduling and it has not been kind to the Bears as they have lost all three of their matches against the AFC North this year, but it is time to stop talking about the past and look forward.

The Bears have the Lions in week 12, the Seahawks in week 13, the Vikings in week 14, the Giants in week 15, the Packers in week 16, the Steelers in week 17, and they finish their season off against the Eagles in week 18. This is how I see these games going: Lions W, Seahawks W, Vikings L, Giants W, Packers W, Steelers W, Eagles W. If the Bears finish the season exactly to my predictions they will finish the year 10-7, which in all likelihood will be a playoff spot. With a loss to the Vikings it would be hard for them to win the division, but if they can pull that upset off we could be looking at the Bears as NFC North Champions, finishing the season on a seven game winning streak and hosting a playoff game. Most people have counted this team out, but don’t be surprised if we are watching the Bears play playoff football this year.
