The Chicago Bears are on the clock with the 1st overall pick. While rumors have them going for Caleb Williams, head coach Chris Outlawz laid those rumors to rest in today’s press conference. This is what Rookie head coach Outlawz had to say “ We heard the rumblings in the media about what the Bears need. We hear it, we read it, everyone thinks they know our locker room, but at the end of the day we are the ones being paid to make those tough decisions, while the rest perform their daily lives as a part time fan when the season is here.
We are set at Quarterback we have OUR GUY in Justin Fields! The kid has had no talent around him until we made the trade with Carolina acquiring DJ Moore. Seeing what he has done in the last 6 games going 5-1 we cannot let this type of talent leave our team. Many have called him the second coming to Michael Vick calling him 2.0. I feel he is just that! I do not see Caleb Williams coming to Chicago after pulling that sad sad tantrum when he took himself out of a bowl game when it is a team sport! That selfishness there does not belong in our organization period! We need a leader of men, at all times not only when it’s convenient for them to put the face on. So with that being said let’s put that talk in the trash, and here is who we are selecting in the 1st overall pick!” As he finished that sentence Coach Outlawz grabbed his notebook and walked off the podium leaving us all in that room with the biggest cliffhanger possible.
