I’m sorry. I apologize to the whole Saints’ organization. I counted them out. I thought they stood no chance against the red-hot Packers. I did not trust rookie Cade Klubnik. I thought that the Packers’ defense would do a great job clamping Andrew Paul. I thought that Christian Watson would have another big day. And I thought that the Packers would be in the NFC Championship game. But let’s be honest. We all did. We all were assuming that the 49ers and Packers would meet in the NFC Championship game. But aye, Any Given Sunday, right?

But from the start of the game, something odd was going on. The same Packers offense we watched last week did not show up to the game. Jordan Love threw another quick interception to start the game. Christian Watson was contained the best way you can for a guy like that. And the rumors around the Packers held true. Without Watson, the Packers are not nearly as good. But that’s not to say that they are bad. This still was a hell of a game. It just blows my mind how prepared the Saints were for this matchup.

With two minutes left in the game, Saints up 23-17, Jordan Love led the Packers down the field. Love did a great job making smart reads and had a few smart throwaways. After a clutch pass to Burden, the Packers were at the 3-yard line. From there, Aaron Jones would run in for the touchdown, leaving 48 seconds left in the game.

With 3 timeouts, it was too much time for the Saints, who marched down the field and kicked a game-winning field goal to send them to the AFC Championship game. Wow. Wow. Wow.

So now it will be the Saints against the winner of the 49ers versus the Rams. I’ve learned my lesson. I will not count this team out. This is very impressive by the Saints. Bringing in a new Head Coach and a rookie Quarterback, and somehow they are here. Whatever happens from here, Saints fans should be proud. But we know they are not satisfied. They want that trophy. And who will stop them? Who dat? Who dat said they gon beat them Saints.
