How do you go from one of the worst teams in the league to one of the best? Heart. How do you go from a 7th seed in the playoffs to the Super Bowl? Heart. How did the Rams come back against the Giants after a slow start and ultimately blow them out? Heart.

There are so many great stories going on in the league right now. But out of all the great stories, the Rams are my favorite. I don’t think people truly understand how bad this franchise was. This team had one of the worst records but could not even have that pick due to a terrible trade. At the time of Coach Peppa’s arrival, the Rams were the worst team in their division. Worst team in the conference. Worst team in the league with a very disappointing future. Or so we thought.

As you know, the Rams made the Super Bowl last season. They had one of the most incredible playoff runs I have ever seen. Even in a loss, the Rams put the league on notice. So this season, expectations for the Rams are super high. With the addition of Chris Jones, the Rams are even better defensively. In fact, in their win against the Giants, they would get seven interceptions and six sacks! With the NFL Commitee bringing some new rules to the league, some thought that the Rams would take a major step back. Newsflash: They have not. Offensively, they have a great receiving core with rising superstar Rahiem Sanders at runningback. This team is averaging 34 points a game! Wow!

So NFC favorites, right? How could the team that made the Super Bowl and got better in the offseason not be NFC favorites? Defense. Yes, I just mentioned their seven interceptions and six sacks, but the Rams play a very aggressive defense. An aggressive defense that when it fails leads to easy scores. In fact, the Rams give up the 4th most points with 30. So they are averaging 34, but giving up 30. In the playoffs, offenses slow down. And unless they get better defensively, I don’t see them making the Super Bowl again this season. But who am I? The Rams proved everyone wrong last season, so who is to say they won’t do it again this season? Go Rams!
