It’s time we give our flowers to Coach Tempful. Whatever he has preached to his guys when he first stepped into office has been working. This team is just so consistent. And in the battle of undefeated teams, even in a game that was not their best, the Bengals pulled through. It’s mind-blowing how clutch this team is. Another clutch drive by Joe Shiesty and the Bengals led to the victory over the Panthers.
And even though Coach Tempful made it clear that the regular season is not that important to the team, it must feel nice to see this team come together. Some critics would say that this team was already built to win when he arrived. Partially true. This team did win a Super Bowl in Season 3. But I believe that this team is better than that Season 3 Bengals team. I just believe that the talent across the league has gotten much better. And that being said, the Bengals have gotten better themselves. And I give all the credit to the Head Coach. When you watch this team play, it’s art. As he told me in an interview last season, the Bengals play chess while everyone else is playing checkers. And that’s what has them dominating. Only one thing was stopping the Bengals and they have taken care of that. Defense.
They now rank 5th on defense. I can’t put into words how incredible that is. Last season, this team was ranked 20th. 20th! A huge improvement that I think will cause them to make the Super Bowl. No team is stopping their offense. That is not even a question. And if this defense continues to improve, who is stopping them? The Titans? I guess we will see in two weeks. Yes, in the most anticipated matchup in a long time, the Bengals will go against the Titans in week 8. I can’t wait! Go Bengals!
