The NFC South saw the Falcons surprisingly take the division. The Falcons would shock the league and go on to earn the #2 seed in the NFC. But in the playoffs, the Falcons would fall quickly to the #7 Rams. Still, the Falcons showed that they will be a problem for years to come, but does that mean that they will win their division this season? Let’s talk about it.

Falcons– Wow! First off, the work that Coach Disspair did with this team last season deserves some recognition. But there is a question that will be answered this season. Was the Falcons’ success due to a weak division? The Bucs are still struggling to find a head coach. The Panthers were still finding their identity. And the Saints just hired one of the best coaches in OGCFM history in Coach JayForeign. Now before you say I’m tripping, I don’t think the Falcons’ success was only due to a weak division. The Falcons showcased a wonderful defense last season. And with an offense that could march down the field and chew the clock while doing so, the Falcons won games convincingly. Desmond Ridder has put his name up there with superstar quarterbacks after the phenomenal season he had. Not to mention guys like Pitts, Drake London, and Xavier Leggette, all of whom tour up the stat sheets. The Falcons will look to make a statement and show that they still run the NFC South.

Saints– But the Saints will have something to say about that. After hiring Coach JayForeign and drafting Shedeur Sanders, the Saints have put themselves in a prime position (no pun intended) to win the NFC South. Coach JayForeign has told AGS that he plans on having a runningback duo of Williams and Trey Benson. Olave hopes that Shaheed and rookie receiver Isaiah Bond will be able to take a huge step this season. But defensively, I don’t see the Saints matching up against the Falcons. The rebuild in New Orleans has officially begun, but I think it will take another season before they take the division.

Panthers– The Panthers continued their rebuild last season. As expected, the Panthers had an up-and-down year. This season, the Panthers hope that Bryce Young will have a huge turnaround from last season. Last year, he threw for 27 touchdowns and 38 interceptions. That has to change. Defensively, the Panthers hope that their secondary will be able to make up for the lack of help that Derrick Brown has on the defensive line. By that, it may seem that the Panthers will have a down year. But with a season under his belt, Coach Red now understands what works best for the team he has. I believe that they will take a huge leap this season.

Bucs– Can they find a Head Coach? Looooooollllll

AGS NFC South Division Winner Prediction: Falcons. I truly wanted to put the Saints here, but the Falcons had too great of a season last year for me to do so. The Saints do not currently have the roster to compete with the Falcons. Who has the better wide receivers? Who has the better defense? Anything you compare, the Falcons win. Yes, Coach JayForeign is a great coach, but Coach Disspair deserves some respect himself. I see this being a very close race, but the Falcons will take it.
