Well, the Russell Wilson era in Denver was a complete disaster. Not only did they not win games, but the drama surrounding the team left a bad taste in many people’s mouths. But now Russ is on the Steelers. And with the 12th pick in the NFL draft, the Denver Broncos selected Bo Nix. It’s a clear sign of a rebuild. Ladies and gentlemen, we are now in the Bo era.

So what are the expectations for the Broncos? What would be considered a success? Odds makers wouldn’t dare give the Broncos a legitimate shot at winning the division. Many would agree this is either the Chiefs or Chargers’ division. So again, what would be considered a success?

Success to me is the development of Bo Nix. Will he be able to win them games or at least be like Brock Purdy, where he isn’t losing them games? Imagine we see that he has superstar potential. Imagine he actually will be able to compete with Patrick Mahomes and Justin Herbert.

Another important factor will be the culture in Denver. Coach Joe will have the responsibility to create a new culture. Can he get his guys to buy in? And if so, how fast? As we know, this is an Any Given Sunday type of sport. If he can establish a perfect culture, we could be talking about them making the playoffs. But even if that’s not the case, building a perfect culture can set them up to be a true threat in the future.
