The Titans went into their divisional matchup with some hope that Will Levis and the offense were able to get their woes taken out during the bye, play some good football and let their defense play tough enough to secure a victory for them. They ended the game with a clutch 2-point conversion stop that made them get the victory 42-41
The offense did well, Will played pretty conservative by his standards, only giving up 2 picks while going 14-22, having 414 yds and 6 tds. Tony Pollard had 7.6 avg yds on 10 carries to go with his 80 yd td. Chig was the real star of this offense though. He proved to the head coach that he can be a superstar with 209 yds and a whopping 4 tds in the win, being almost impossible to stop in this one. Boyd had 95 yds and 1 td as well to round out the passing tds. The offensive line played an important part in helping Levis put on a show in the gotw.
The defense played tough in this game, being aggressive in their efforts to limit the offense of the colts. They were able to get 3 sacks in the game and 3 picks by 3 different defenders. And they made the two qb effort of the Colts uncomfortable in the win. Kenneth Murray really shined in the win when he started the first defensive drive with a int before he came back a couple of drives later to pop the ball out of Richardson’s hands when he tried to scramble.
The team is looking forward to their matchup with the Bills which could be the start of the team’s winning streak this se
“Coach Afro, can you tell us what you and the team worked on in the bye that helped you guys come out on top in this week’s matchup with the Colts.” Said a large reporter in the front.
“Yeah, I preached to them about just having fun on offense, I know how skilled Levis can be and as the game results showed. He was able to sling it into tight coverages and make plays that were key to us getting the w, having 6 tds is something that I knew that he was capable of and all he did was prove it to the team and the fans how good he can be.
“Coach Afro, what is your gameplan on defense to stop someone like Josh Allen in your next week matchup with the Bills.” A reporter with long hair asks.
“My gameplan isn’t going to change much. I’m going to preach that my defense limits their opportunities to score while being aggressive on defense, forcing Josh to make bad throws that my guys can pick off or have my guys punch the ball out which we have been doing a lot of in recent weeks. I know my defense is strong and they’re hungry and want to feast next week. Thank you all for your questions and have a great rest of your day.”
