After a 16-1 season, the Seattle Seahawks put on a horrendous performance. Let me correct that. Geno Smith put on a horrendous performance. It seems like his mind was not on the game. But we will talk about that a little later in the article.

The Eagles shocked the world in the Divisional Round. No one expected them to win this game. Not only did they win, but they put belt to ass. Offensively, we know that they are one of the best offenses in the league with Coach Procana behind the great scheme. However, it was the defensive side that put us all on notice. A team that came into the game 29th in passing defense, put on a defensive masterclass. Coach Procana said after the game that he knew he would have to force Geno to make bad decisions. And saying they did that is an understatement. Geno Smith would throw four interceptions.

Speaking of Geno, we have to say the elephant in the room. The Seahawks don’t want him. Even after leading the team to a 16-1 record, rumors spread before the playoffs that the Seahawks were already looking to replace Geno. I’m not sure how that news got around but it spread…like wildfire. Geno chose not to comment about it after the game, but the question struck a nerve. He did so many great things for them. 48 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in the regular season. I feel for him. But Seattle Seahawk fans won’t. If anything, they really want him gone now.

At the end of the day, we learned a very important thing: Coach Procana has that Dawg in him. He took the criticism and used it as fuel. Coaching matters and the Eagles have one of the best of them. The Eagles will look to continue their quest for a Super Bowl against the Saints in the NFC Championship game.
