In the GOTW where the Titans faced off against the 49ers at home. It was a close one that saw the 9ers come out with the victory over the Titans 28-22. This game for the Titans was one where it seemed that they resorted to their previous seasons woes. The offense had given the ball away twice for tds and were unable to get any turnovers themselves in what ultimately decided the game for the 9ers.

Will Levis played an alright game, he had started very slow though with his first drive ending in a punt, his second opportunity went even worse since he would take a sack that would make him fumble that gave a free td to the 9ers. With some technical difficulties occurring in the game, the next time Levis was on the field he would throw a bone headed pick to Fred Warner when he missed the wide open receiver that gave the 9ers 14 points off of turnovers just like that and had them up by 21. Levis would come back and ball out, only throwing 3 more incompletions since then to end with 18/22 with 265 yds and 1 td-1 int. He would end up with 2 sacks in the loss but finished with a 113.0 QBR.

The rushing attack wasn’t able to produce as much as the team wanted but Pollard was able to still go for 63 yds on 17 carries and 2 tds. Amari Cooper led the way for the receiving core in this game with 7 receptions for 128 yds, being a key player getting open for Levis as they tried to comeback. Chig had 53 yds on 3 recs, Tony Pollard went 3-30, Tommy Tremble had 2-20, the rookie Jaylin Noel was able to get his first td in his career with his clutch td in the fourth, ending the game with 1-17 1 td. Treylon Burks went 1-15.

The defense was decent in the passing attack but they were unable to get many stops in the rushing attack and despite being one of the best at forcing turnovers, they were unable to get any in this loss. Kenneth Murray, Harold Landry, and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka were all able to get to the rookie for 1 sack each but that didn’t slow down the offense enough.

The team heads into the bye with a 2-4 record as they will face off against the undefeated Seahawks in their next matchup.
