I told you last week. I’m going to tell you again. Watch out for the Titans. They pulled out a clutch win against the Panthers and they should have the league’s attention now.
Down 17-7 at the half, the Titans showed fight and brought the game to a 20-14 deficit late in the fourth. Earlier in the year, it would have been safe to say that the Titans would lose the game due to their offense. But with their new-look offense, anything is possible. Elijah Moore and Jeudy got open many times and Will Levis found them every time. Will Levis is only a rookie, but if you saw the last drive, you would have thought he had been playing in the league for years. On 4th down and 5, Levis wisely didn’t force it to the endzone but took the short-yard pass that led to a first down. Now with four more chances to get in the endzone, the result was inevitable. The Titans scored with 12 seconds left in the game. Unfortunately for the Panthers, they needed 13 seconds. Bryce Young threw a dot to get them on their own 47. With 6 seconds left, Bryce hit the streak toward the sideline. Jonathan Mingo caught the ball, but he could not get down quick enough for the Panther to call timeout to hit the field goal. Ball game. The Titans move to 8-3 and are 1 game behind the Colts. They will meet again very soon, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Titans come out on top.
