The Titans went on the road to Sunny Cali and defeated the LA Chargers 27-10, The Titans defense forced 5 Justin Hebert picks and retuned 3 of them for touchdowns. The Jacksonville Jaguars went into Indianapolis and defeated the Colts 27-24 in a AFC South Wildcard thriller. Trevor Lawrence passed for 386 yards with 2 td’s and 2 ints. The Arizona Cardinals in a defensive battle defeated the Washington Commanders by the score of 13-10. The Cardinals were again led by rookie RB from TCU Emari Demercado as he had 182 yards on 26 carries. Tampa Bay went into the frozen tundra of Green Bay and defeated the Packers 28-25. Tampa Bay was led by Kyler Murray had 260 yards passing with 3 td’s and 1 int. The SF 49ers traveled cross country to NJ and defeated the Giants 38-31 in s shoot out. Brock Purdy passed for 331 yards with 2 td’s and 1 int. Deebo had 7 catches for 132 yards and a td. The Giants were led by Barkley as he had 8 carries for 100 yards.
[7:08 PM]Let’s recap on what we have in the divisional round so far. The Jets eliminated the Titans in a thriller 24-22. Both defenses actually came to play as the Jets had 4 turnovers while the Titans had 3. The Jets were led by Breece Hall as he had 145 yards on 20 carries and had 2tds for the game. Aaron Rodgers was a bit off on his game as he went 9-19 for 184 yards and 4 picks. However, the Jets still survived the game and will move on. Iowa State Rookie RE Will McDonald chipped in with 2 sacks. The Titans were led by Ryan Tannehill as he went 17-23 for 198 yards and 2td’s as well as 3 picks. Derrick Henry rushed for 71 yards. The Jets will now await the winner of the 4pm Est game this afternoon of the Jaguars and the Bengals. If the Jags win the AFC Championship game will be played in Jersey. If the Bengals win, they will host the Jets in the AFC Ship game.
The Divisional round game on SNYPS TV last night in front of the Nation saw the Detroit Lions dominated the 49ers by the score of 41-17. The Lions defense force 5 49er turnovers and their offense took it from there. They scored 28 points in the 2nd qtr to take a commanding 35-3 lead at half time. The 3 rookies were very active in this one as Tennessee Herndon Hooker passed for 279 yards with 3 td’s and 1 int as he went for a very workmanlike 13 for 16 in the air. Bamas rookie RB Gibbs ran for 80 yards on 16 carries as well as catching 5 passes for 58 yards and Banas other rookie WR Jameson Williams had only 1 catch but it was for 83 yards and a TD. ST Brown caught 6 passes for 89 yards and a td. For the 49ers Brock Purdy had 256 yards with 2 td’s and 4 picks. Brandon Aiyuk had 4 catches for 61 yards and a TD while George Kittle ha 2 receptions for 58 yards and a TD. The Lions will host the NFC Championship game against the winner of Tampa Bay and Arizona. This game will get played tonight in the desert in Arizona.
