A couple of years ago, Russel Wilson said a few words that did not age well. Those words, which seem to have cursed them were “Broncos Country, Let’s Ride”. Fast forward to today, the Broncos are 0-3 and Wilson is getting benched for rookie Bo Nix, who is also struggling. The Broncos were supposed to be contenders this year. They were supposed to be battling it out with the toughest in the AFC. But to start the season, they have been a flat-out embarrassment.

Starting off 0-3 is the worst outcome for them. Let me make it clear, they have gone against tough opponents (Chargers, Patriots, Steelers), so it’s not that bad, right? There are some games on the schedule that are toss up and some that, let’s be honest, are guaranteed wins. The problem for the Broncos is that the Madden gods did them no favors. Their schedule is full of tough opponents. Every week will be a battle.

But it is not just on the field where the Broncos have issues. Inside sources are telling me that King Henry is not happy with reports that he is on the trade block. He has caused many arguments and fights, making it even harder for the Broncos locker room. Those rumors of him being on the trade block are true, as I’ve been getting various reports from other inside sources that he has been on the block since the offseason. Also, Russel Wilson with his huge contract wants another shot at the starting position. Russel did not play well in his debut, but starting a rookie quarterback over him seems like a slap in the face. As a general manager, it has to make you question whether you allow a guy who is worth almost 300 million to sit on the bench.

But there is still hope. There are still 14 games to be played. If this Broncos team can find their identity again. I’m not sure when or where they lost it, but I believe they will find it. And when they do, hopefully soon, they will be a wreck to be messed with. Maybe, just maybe, we see a new team as soon as next week. Broncos Country….let’s ride?
