Look at him. Look at him! Taking off his Arkansas helmet for the last time, the future for Jefferson was as clear as the fog outside. Not looked at as a franchise quarterback. A project at best, but so far he is looking like the steal of the draft. Out of all the rookie quarterbacks. Forget it, out of all the rookies. Who would have picked K.J. Jefferson, a third-round pick to be the best? K.J., from Arkansas, was not on many draft boards, but for the scouting team of the Raiders, they need a pay raise. Like right now. If you are a scout for them, send them this article right here, and demand a raise.
Jefferson has thrown for 556 yards and 8 touchdowns in his first two games. He also has 2 rushing touchdowns. What I like about him is that he is mobile, but does not mind sitting in the pocket and finding the perfect read. But we are not going to act like he is doing this by himself. Like he doesn’t have a top 3 running back right next to him. Josh Jacobs is already on a tear. Two games with over 100 yards. And how can I forget? The best route-running receiver in the league: Davante Adams. I expect more targets to him, but he already has 3 touchdowns on the season. One reason he hasn’t got that many touches is because the Raiders struck gold again with their 9th pick in the draft: Malik Nabers. In two games, he already has 22 receptions with 335 yards. No offense that’s more yards than some quarterbacks have thrown. He also has 3 touchdowns, and this Raiders offense is back in business.
I’m going to have to look into this complete turnaround. You know how Las Vegas is. There has to be something going on we don’t know about. Or maybe the Raiders have found their identity. And the best part is that it is still early in the year. More time to develop. More time to become closer to your brothers in the locker room, as they work toward that Super Bowl trophy.
