The game between the Blue Jays and Padres was two completely different stories where one would want continue to play well and the other side wanting to completely forget about it. Vlad Guerrero Jr lead the way for the Blue Jays going 4-4 with 3 home runs diving in 4, with homeruns from Varsho, Jansen, and Turner. One of the most memorable plays was when Davis Schneider got robbed by Fernando Tatis of a homerun in the top of the 6th but on the next batter Danny Jansen launched a no doubter to center. (452 feet). The Padres offense couldn’t muster up much, only collecting 5 hits and 1 run, driven in by Luis Campusano. Chris Bassitt was called upon to start and he did not disappoint throwing 6.1 innings of shutout ball only allowing 2 hits while striking out 6, Yimi Garcia followed giving up 1 run in 2.2 innings of ball. Joe Musgrove didn’t have his best stuff today, but went 6 innings only giving up 4 runs before they turned the ball over to the bullpen to where everything got crazy. Luis Patino would like to forget about this game giving up 9 runs in only 2.2 innings eventually leading to his ejection in the top of the 9th. Sean Reynolds came in and got the last out but the game was out of reach at this point . The Blue Jays move to 11-5 on a 5 game winning streak as the Padres fall to 0-6
