The Chicago Bears had a sold out home opener as they unveiled their new stadium keeping the Soldier Field name. The fans, city, and team were all excited to get to walk the massive stadium. Head Coach Ben Johnson had a gameplan set with the offense, and defense in this game as he relied on the OC Thomas Brown along with the DC Robert Saleh to make sure the players were locked in. The plan heading into the game was primarily to focus on the deep shots that the Bengals took during the playoff games. On offense we played it by ear as we took jabs after jabs to feel out their go to coverages that they felt confident in. Once the offense saw the looks, OC Brown decided to change up some calls and attack the defense when we seen the formations we liked. Caleb had a great day making hot reads during the pre snap reads to align his players for the best possible outcome. We are happy to see the maturity level that now second year QB Caleb has shown this off season. The addition of Stefon Diggs was huge as he, and Moore both had 4 catches in the game. Rookie LB Barrett Carter made his presence known by lurking an interception from Burrow to get the defense excited. Rookie CB Benjamin Morrison was target a few times, and the rook held his own allowing only 3 catches on his side of the field all for 10 yards or less. In recap, we feel very good about the team we have, and how young our team got this offseason in certain key positions via the draft. We have Cleveland next week so we need to gameplan for them after we take a day off to enjoy our victory. Bear Down!
