Under the management of new Head Coach Prime, the Chicago Bears have undergone a significant transformation. Coach Prime recognized the need to make changes to the team and decided to trade what many considered a valuable asset for the future. This decision was met with criticism from the media and league owners, as the Bears had previously made a controversial blockbuster trade.

However, Coach Prime was determined to implement his own strategies and build a successful team. He analyzed the performance of the acquired player and concluded that they were not fitting well within the team’s defensive scheme. Coach Prime believed that any player could achieve similar statistics, and he aimed to build a younger and more successful team by trading this player.

Drawing on his previous success in Colorado, where he utilized the transfer portal in innovative ways, Coach Prime adopted a similar mindset in the NFL. He wanted to make a significant impact and mold the Bears into a playoff-contending team. Despite initially being viewed as a promising playoff team, the Bears’ young roster lacked experience, leading to a disappointing 2-5 record.

Coach Prime has already made impactful moves by trading key players to acquire draft picks and younger talent. These trades include Khalil Mack, DT Arik Armstead, Shaquille Leonard, Cole Kmet, Jaquan Brisker, and Micah Parsons. The most impressive trade was acquiring Parsons from Dallas, only to trade him to Indianapolis for equal value shortly after.

The overarching strategy is to build a younger team that will propel the Bears to the next level and secure a divisional victory. While there are still more pieces to be moved, Coach Prime believes that the team is getting closer to achieving their goals.
