Any Given Sunday: Coach, since Season 3 rumors were spreading about you guys moving on from Fields. Even had a controversial trade that was eventually revoked. I know you guys won’t tell us who you are picking, but what made you feel moving on from Fields was the best move, and how do you expect to fill that QB position?
Bears Head Coach: First off, thank you for having me on the most prestigious show the sports world has ever witnessed, Any Given Sunday! Yes, the rumors were sweeping the media channels at one point back in season 3. We also pulled the trigger on moving Fields to the Saints, but sadly Fields failed his physical nulling the trade. We thought it was Fields holding us back, when in fact it was our offensive coordinator’s fault for not putting Fields in the best situation given his athleticism. So what we decided to do this year was play to his strengths, and the offensive coordinator could not get any consistency week in and week out.
As reported by local news we just terminated both our offensive and defensive coordinators in week 19 and picked up two amazing coaches that were looking to fit in a team system. After having both new coordinators at Halas Hall, we then built a roster with and without some key players, Fields being one of them. After making a splash and sending a lot of picks to Dallas for Parsons, we are gearing up for a strong push at the playoffs this coming season.
With all that being said, we reached out to Deion Sanders to see what he thought his son Shedeur Sanders would think about becoming a day 1 starter, and team captain for the Chicago Bears. To make a long story short Deion said “Shedeur would love to come to Chicago because of the city lifestyle, new stadium, and the moves the front office has made the last two seasons to better the team” Once we heard that we contacted Denver and the rest is history. In our eyes we see Sanders taking us to the next level right off the bat, and the team is extremely excited for the trade we made to acquire, and secure the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
