Last night, the Bengals beat the Colts in a primetime game 20-17. Joe Shiesty and the Bengals’ offense made the Colts’ “top defense”, once again, look like an average defense. The Bengals now sit at 12-1, and with the Jets losing last night, they may be guaranteed a 1st-round bye in the playoffs. As I said before, those who were happy to see the Bengals lose two weeks ago, I hope you enjoyed it because this team is the best team in the league. With so many of the top teams starting to decline a little, the Bengals have been the most consistent. If you don’t like the cockiness of this team. If you don’t like the celebrations in the middle of the field. If you don’t like the trash talk, well, you’re going to have to beat them. And by the looks of it, no team will. Last night, was all business, and as you have heard from their coach, they always, always stand on business.
For the Colts, many would say they cost themselves the game. The head coach of the Colts was heavily criticized for his decision-making. Tied 3-3 before the half, the Colts decided to go for the touchdown at the one, rather than take the the field goal and receive the ball to start the 3rd to take a 13-3 lead possibly. Anthony Richardson had another great game, which makes two in a row, but again their defense has been on a crazy decline. This is not the same team from the beginning of the year, and this is the worst time to play poorly. They won’t win the division. And if they are not careful, they may even miss the playoffs.
