The Bengals are still standing on business…

The Bengals won the Super Bowl two seasons ago. Their old coach led them all the way to the championship with his famous motto “Standing on business”. Last season, the Bengals started slow, but did enough to upset the #1 seed in the Raiders. They ended up losing to the eventual champs, the Tennessee Titans, in the Divisional Round.

After their loss to the Titans, the Bengals head coach stepped down. With a new head coach, many people wondered if they would still be able to be the team we have come to expect of them. And so far, they are. After a win over the Dolphins, the Bengals are now 4-0 and are on top of the AFC.

Joe Shiesty is still him. He has 1,177 passing yards with 12 touchdowns and only one interception. He is clearly still in the prime of his career and that only means hell for defenses. What stands out about this Bengals offense is their rushing attack. Mixon had not gotten many touches under the old coach, but the rushing attack has been a focus under the new offensive game plan. Joe Mixon has 478 yards and 7 touchdowns so far on the season, as he looks to have a breakout season. The Joe and Joe connection is back and better than ever! This receiving core is crazy as well with St. Brown and Higgins both being huge playmakers for the Bengals. And what are the Bengals without Mr. 7/11? Jamar Chase already has 8 touchdowns and is proving that he indeed is always open.

The Bengals are still standing on business. Will they make another Super Bowl run? Only time will tell, but as for now, it looks like we might be seeing a battle between them and the Titans once again in the AFC Championship game just like two years ago.
