With the Broncos’ season looking like it will have a huge fall due to the sudden firing of their Head Coach, the Browns and the Texans seem to be the two teams who will battle it out for that final Wildcard spot. The Broncos Head Coach had been released last week due to violating the NFL’s drug and gambling policies. It was found that the former Head Coach had been gambling on his team the entire season, whether that was a specific player or the entire team. So the unfortunate events for the Broncos give hope to AFC teams to finish the season strong.

I highlight the Cleveland Browns because of how great I think this team actually is. When looking at their losses, they were always in those games. Their huge problem has been turnovers in clutch moments, costing them more than half of those losses. Any team that has played them will tell you that their record does not do this team justice. If this team could sneak in, they could cause a huge upset in the Wildcard Round.

Veteran Dak Prescott has been able to take care of the football which helps this explosive offense generate more offense. Imagine that. An explosive offense generating more offense. Yikes. For the Browns to get in though, they would have to rely on their defense. The Browns can score the ball with the best of them but have one of the worst defenses in the league. It won’t be easy for them, especially since they go against two great offenses in the next two weeks in the Steelers and the Bills.

The Browns could have a completely different record, but it is no time to look back now. They must focus on the task at hand because they have a really good chance of sneaking into the playoffs. To start that mission, they will face the hardest task first in the Steelers. The Steelers snuck out with a win over the Browns earlier in the year with a game-winning touchdown. With the season on the line, will the Browns be able to overcome the Steelers?
