The Cardinals have gone from the Cinderella story to being one of the most clowned-on teams in the league. There have been so many memes against this team. Kyler Murray has got the worst of it. And I hate to be that guy, but it is hard to defend them. I was a part of that bandwagon three years ago. I was so hyped to see what the Cardinals would become. Even after their embarrassing loss in Season 3 against the Lions in the playoffs, I still believed that they would become one of the best teams in the league. But they have not.
This team went from being the first team to clinch their division in Season 3 to missing out on the playoffs. How? I believe something was going on in the locker room that has not been made public. Whatever it was, the Cardinals have a new opportunity. This can be the season the Cardinals shut out all the noise and ball out. And I believe that they can use those failures as valuable lessons. And one of those lessons they should remember is that people were only with them when they were up. As soon as the Cardinals started losing, everybody switched sides. So now it has become “Cardinals vs Everybody”. Everyone in that locker room must fight for each other. Forget everybody else and ball for one another. Kyler Murray must look in the mirror and realize that he is Him. He must be a leader. He must start playing some winning football. And if he does, the Cardinals will easily make the playoffs. Because I can’t stress it enough, they have the talent. They have the Head Coach. But they must believe.
The sky is the limit for this team, but it is up to them. Will we finally see the Cardinals teams we expected since Season 3, or will the Cardinals continue their fall?
