Week 15, 2024 will go down as one of the greatest moments in the Cardinals’ history. What happened on that date? Coach Quinten was introduced as the new Cardinals’ Head Coach. Since that time, the Cardinals are 4-1, including their upset win over the Texans last night.
The NFC West was tough last year, and it just got even tougher with the Cardinals joining the party. There are now 4 legit playoff contenders in one division. If I was a betting man, which I’m not, I would put my money on the Cardinals winning the division. No, I’m not taking that back. Yes, we saw a Stafford turning back the clock game last night, but I don’t believe that it will be a common occurrence. I believe that Coach Quinten has instilled confidence into the locker room. They say a Cardinal can represent hope and restoration and you can say the same for the Cardinals’ Head Coach.
…Or you could say that Week 1 was a fluke. Or you could say the Texans are on the decline because they have lost their identity so that game means nothing. You could also say that the Rams are the better team, and was the one loss that the Cardinals had under Coach Quinten’s tenure. Maybe say that Kyler Murray isn’t good enough to carry when the defense struggles. Possibly say that the Cardinals have been so bad that we are congratulating them on doing the bare minimum. Hell even say that the Cardinals will be at the bottom of the division come January.
Whatever you think about the Cardinals, whether they are for real or not, you have to admit that it is beautiful to see them get back on track. Give credit where it is due; Coach Quinten is cooking.
