Anthony Richardson’s play this year will make or break the Colts.
Last year, the Colts were able to make the playoffs with Jonathan Taylor and the defense carrying them. The problem is that later in the year their lack of offensive power was quickly realized throughout the league. And once defenses focused on stopping Jonathan Taylor, the Colts’ offense was non-existent. With a tough schedule this year, the Colts have to start and finish the season strong. The only way they will be able to do that is if Anthony Richardson can prove that he is a franchise Quarterback.
After a Colts practice, I tried to rush to get a few words from AR5. And a few words I got. When asked about how he believes he has improved, he flat-out told me that he is HIM. Nothing more and nothing less. AR5 no doubt believes in himself, and so do the staff and players. Jonathan Taylor told me, “He is a DAWG. Throughout the offseason, he stayed in the film room. Stayed in the gym. Stayed on the field. He is ready to lead and we are ready to follow him”.
Well, AR5 will get a chance to show us how much he has improved tomorrow night at 6 P.M. EST when the Colts face the Lions at home.
