For the first time since Coach Isaiah joined the team, the Colts have lost two regular season games in a row. And looking at their schedule, it may get even worse. Last night, Manning and the Colts were just flat-out embarrassing. Manning would throw 3 interceptions in the first quarter. Two underthrows and a pick-6. Manning would finish the night with 4 interceptions as the team would lose 38-3 to the Broncos.
Previously, Coach Isaiah expressed belief in this team. But after last night, he did not show that same belief. Whether it had to do with the emotions from the game, Coach Isaiah actually expressed doubt that his team would be able to pick it back up. Rumors are spreading that Colts players did not take that very kindly and that there is now tension between the Coach and the players.
Lockerroom issues are the last thing that this Colts team needs because on the field there are already too many. Even in a game where the defense played pretty well, the offense gave the ball up too much and left the Broncos in great field position. And that has been the story of the season. The Colts are never good on both sides of the ball. If the offense is scoring, the defense is giving up 30 points. If the defense is playing well, the offense struggles. Arch Manning is already getting called a bust by NFL Legends. He is not having a great season and it is costing them. Yes, he is a rookie, but coming into the draft many said that he was the most pro-ready.
If the Colts expect to make the playoffs, they need to turn their season around now. Tanking cannot happen due to the Bears having their pick, so the playoffs are the only way this season can be considered a win for this franchise. Can the Colts fight back or will they continue the path of being the most disappointing team in Season 6?
