What did I just watch?
That might be the biggest choke job I have ever seen. That was worse than the 2011 Finals Lebron. We just witnessed the MVP look like a 3rd String Quarterback. 3 interceptions and if we’re being real it should have been plenty more. Taking unnecessary sacks. A fumble. Missing wide-open receivers. Throwing to covered receivers. 9 for 28 passing…guys that was not what an MVP is supposed to look like! We’ve seen a rookie look like an MVP, but we just witnessed that MVP look like a rookie. In a game where the defense showed up, Jayden Daniels didn’t. A big stain on what was a great season. This is one of those stains that will be talked about forever. The type of stain that will leave him out of the G.O.A.T. debates in the future like Lebron in 2011.
Coach Sasuke talked trash before the game which was expected. The Saints’ defense showed up which was expected. The Commanders’ defense showing up wasn’t something we expected. PJ Walker masterclass is something that we are starting to expect now. But Jayden Daniels’ Assterclass was something we really didn’t expect.
I know it feels like I’m beating a dead horse but this is what comes with the territory. I talked about Trevor Lawrence this way and he shut me up. That’s just how this business goes. Put up or shut up. “MVP” means something. What Joe Mixon did for the Texans meant something. We saw what that team looked like without him. What Jalen Hurts is doing for the Eagles means something. Yet neither got the MVP.
Jayden Daniels did.
