With the 4th pick in the NFL draft, the New York Giants were expected to take Drew Allar. But as the draft started to draw closer, rumors started to spread that the Giants were looking at Jalen Milore. This is due to the Giants hiring Coach Isaiah. As we have seen, Coach Isaiah loves quarterbacks who can throw as well as scramble. Jalen Milroe, a speedy quarterback who can also sling the ball had a great workout with the Giants. And rumor also has it that when Coach Isaiah was coaching the Jags he would find a way to attend Alabama games. With all that being said, the Giants would select Jalen Milroe. Giants fans are having mixed reactions to the pick. But for some reason, I feel like it is officially up in New York
And in the second round, the Giants would help out Dexter Lawrence and their defensive line by drafting Right End, Justice Finkley. The Texas defensive beast had a great senior season. He also had a tremendous workout with the Giants. And with Dexter Lawrence also asking for help on the Dline, there was no hesitation on the Giants’ pick.
In the third round, after Campell was picked by the Cowboys, the Giants would settle with Kobe Prentice. The speedy Alabama receiver gives the Giants needed help at the Wide Reciever position. Although he is a project, with great development, he could become a huge steal in this draft.
From there the Giants would make some questionable moves. Drafting a running back in the 4th Round who looks to be a bust makes me wonder if the Giants plan on moving Barkley. Because that is almost a guarantee not to happen, that pick confuses me.
But overall, the Giants got what they needed today. A franchise quarterback, help on the defensive line, and a speedy receiver. Now it is up to Coach Isaiah to coach the hell out of this team. How far can he lead them? Time will tell.
