Last night the Atlanta Falcons meet the Panthers at the dome in downtown Atlanta! The place was packed like always on a week 1 division game. The League probably had the panthers winning this game even though it was a new head coach. Pulling the box score the game was a hard battle between these two team ending the first quarter with both teams having 0 points on the board. By the end of the second half it was 10-7 panthers who was getting the ball back and this was a flash in the past for us Falcons fans we knew we were doomed. Right out of the gate the Panthers came out and scored on their first drive making the game 17-7 game.
Head Coach outtkast pulled his guys to side line to have another solid conversation about getting their heads out their gutter, and get back into the game. Well it worked! Falcons came back and scored a touchdown only being down by 3 points. With the fourth quarter coming in the Panthers came back out and scored another Touchdown the Defensive Coordinator was fed up and make some changes, and when I said they made some changes they stopped the Panthers in the fourth quarter, and between the defense and the offense both sides of the ball scored 21 unanswered points! Defense walked away with 6 turnovers, J. Bates with 2 picks totaling 50 yards, A. Terrell 1 pick for 32 yards, K. Elliss 1 pick for 18 yards, T. Anderson 1 pick for 17 yards, and L. Carter showed up with two sacks!!!!!!
Offense walked away with 296 total yards, B. Robinson 11 touches for 66 yards, T. Lance 3 Rushing Att for 8 yards, in the air we had K. Pitts with one catch for 83 yards and a touchdown!, followed behind by all 3 Wr’s Gallup, Miller, and RB Robinson for 2 catches each totaling 235 between all four!
Coach Outtkast take on next weeks game, “We cant wait to take on the Vikings in our city! we were underdogs in season 1, we really improved in season 2, now in season 3 its our turn to make a name for our franchise, and we have the love and support from fans and our city.
