The Jets have struggled to find a franchise quarterback. Some of those former Jets quarterbacks were just not put in the right positions to win, but some of them failed when it was their chance to show who they are. Although Aaron Rodgers led them to the playoffs, something they had not done in a while, he was way past his prime and the Jets could not go deep into the playoffs. Last season, the Jets drafted Penix Jr. and although he did not play much, it is obvious that he was studying the game with Aaron Rodgers. Penix Jr. has over 2000 yards and 14 touchdowns. In my opinion, it’s not even about the yards or the touchdowns. MPJ is just a smart player. He does not force it down the field. He does not play hero football. He just plays winning football. The Jets’ Head Coach has talked about how much Penix puts into this game and it shows. The Jets offense is back and rocking and he is a huge reason why.

The question for the Jets for the past two seasons has been if they could play defense and if they had a Quarterback who could lead them to the promise land. Their defense has improved dramatically and they truly have found their franchise quarterback. This could be the year! Go Jets!
