The Jets organization has faced tons of scrutiny in the past couple of years due to their short comings against top talent. Personally, I missed that Season 3 Jets. You know that team that started 9-0 and were considered one of the best teams in the league. After trading for Rodgers, bringing in Esports legend Coach Jalen gave the city something else they could cheer for. That season would end in a dissapointing way, but the future for the Jets looked very bright.
Unfortunately, that season would be their best season. The Jets would start to fold under pressure. No longer were the Jets shocking the league. No, teams were coming for them. Even teams at the bottom of the standings were giving their all against the Jets, exposing their weakness. The Jets still would continue to win their division, guarenteeing a playoff berth. But it was there where the Jets would fall in the worst ways. It seems that everytime the Jets make the playoffs, it ends quickly and in a blowout.
So coming into this season, the hype surrounding the Jets was very low. No one cares about how good they can be during the regular season because we have seen that before. No, the Jets needed to prove that they can beat top talent to get even an ounce of respect back. And to the start the season, things did not go well. The Jets would start the season getting blown out by the team that eliminated them in the playoffs last season. Then they would lose to the Dolphins. 0-2. So why is this article titled, “They Are Backkk”. Well since then the Jets have won four straight games. So what? I just said that no one cares about how many regular season games they can win, right? Right. But it is about who the Jets beat this week that has me excited. We all know how good the 49ers are. In fact, they are the team I predict will make it out of the NFC. So going into last nights game, I expected the Jets to fold again. But I saw a different Jets team. But at the same time, I seen that Jets team before. After a little pondering, I remembered where I saw this Jets team. That high powered offense. Timely stops. And more importantly, beating the best of them. It was the Season 3 Jets. And after coming to that realization, I’m on the verge of saying a pretty crazy take. But I will save that hot take for a couple of weeks because I need to make sure that they are officially back. But know this, if they are really back, they are going to be a problem.
