Breece Hall…who? Breece Hall was leading the league in rushing yards heading into week 15. And going up against the Jags, the Jets would look to do the same thing against one of the best defenses in the league. However, the Jaguars quickly made it known that Hall would not beat them. They would force the Jets to throw the ball, and although Ewers had a pretty good showing, the Jags’ defense was too much.
Offensively, the Jaguars had another impressive showing. Trevor Lawrence would throw for 318 yards with 5 touchdowns and no interceptions. To start the year Lawrence struggled, but he is looking like a sleeper for MVP. Speaking of MVP, Lawrence is getting no respect around the league in terms of MVP. Coach Isaiah is not even a candidate for COY. It makes me wonder where the hate is coming from. This team has performed week in and week out. Shout out to Jaxon Smith-Njigba who had 164 yards with 3 touchdowns. Last game it was Worthy. This week was JSN. This is why the Jags looked to get wide receivers in the offseason and it is truly paying off.
I think the doubt goes back to their competition. The Jags have only played and won about 5 games against a team over .500. But after another impressive showing against a top team, I think it’s time they get their respect.
