Here we are. A new season. A new chapter in OGCFM history. It’s the time when all fan bases around the country have that same hope. Whether realistic or not, they have that belief. The hope is that their team can beat the odds and win the Super Bowl. And honestly, there is a possibility. Technically, each team has a chance at winning it. Why? Well, one, because it’s an Any Given Sunday type of league. But also everyone is 0-0. You never know what can take place in a season that can help or hurt a team’s chances of winning it all. Injuries, locker room drama, and trades can all play a factor. So like I said, here we are! As we draw closer to week 1, Any Given Sunday has decided to do some divisional predictions. And I will start with what may be the toughest division in the league: The NFC East.

Cowboys– The defending champions look to make a statement. Yeah, I know it’s weird to say that a team that went 20-0 wants to make a statement. But let’s be honest: the Cowboys did not have any legit challengers when it came to the NFC East last season. This season, many claim that Coach Banky will have the toughest time in a division in his career with the sudden hirings of Coach Isaiah (Giants), Coach Procana (Eagles), and Coach Tempful (Commanders). And while I do believe this will be the toughest division he has ever been a part of, I have to remind everyone that he has 3 Super Bowl rings. He has won the last 3! Although Dak is getting older, the Cowboys roster looks almost identical to last year. The Cowboys also drafted Ricardo Campbell, a speedy wide receiver who will only make the Cowboys offense even better. And offense is never the best part of a Coach Banky-led team. Defensively, the Cowboys will look to continue to be the best defensive team in the league. With Mazi Smith starting to look like a legit superstar, the Cowboys’ defensive line will give opposing defenses a headache. And if the opposing quarterback can get the ball off, the Cowboys have ball hawks who will take care of that. The Cowboys will be a problem for, not just the teams in the NFC East, but the entire league once again.

Commanders– There were rumors that the Commanders were engaging in talks with Coach Tempful on a contract, but after those rumors started to quiet down, many figured that both parties could not agree on a deal. However, after the NFL draft, it was announced that Coach Tempful would indeed be hired as their Head Coach. And just like that, the Commanders have hope again. Coach Tempful will look to change the culture of the team. A team that is so used to falling short will bring in the clutches coach in OGCFM history. Offensively, they will now become one of the best just with Coach Tempful alone. Not to mention that they already have guys like Jaylen Wright, Scary Terry, and Tyreek Hill. Defensively, the Commanders have a pretty good defensive line and secondary. The Commanders will go from winning four games last year to easily winning 10+ games this season.

Eagles– After a weird firing from the Texans, Coach Procana was left without a team. But as the saying goes, when one door closes another one opens. And the door that opened was a coaching job for his favorite NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He would take Nico Collins with him as the Texans and Eagles would agree on a deal. As with any Coach Procana-led team, the Eagles will most likely be a top-5 offense in the league. After drafting Loveland late in the 2nd, this offense has no sign of a weakness. And defensively, wow! The defense will surely do a great job at stopping both the run and pass game because they have a phenomenal defensive line with Byrad and Ringo in the backfield. Coach Procana has made it clear that his team is ready for everybody. And I believe they are.

Giants– The Giants would shock the league by hiring Coach Isaiah, a head coach who has done a good job at helping teams surpass expectations yet has never been able to finish the job. With the Giants, Coach Isaiah hopes that he will be able to right his wrongs. But it clearly won’t be easy. The Giants do have a pretty underrated roster though. After drafting Jalen Milroe, the Giants plan on presenting an offense centered around Milroe’s ability to both pass and run. Giants believe that receivers like Prentice (rookie), Nabers, and Hyatt will make his job a lot easier. And with one of the best runningbacks by his side, the Giants could potentially be up there with the best offenses in the league. But like any Coach Isaiah-led team, the Giants will look to be one of the best defensive teams. And after drafting Finkley to help out Ojulari and Dexter Lawrence, that dream could become a reality. In a tough division, the Giants won’t be able to start slow. If Coach Isaiah can figure out how he wants to coach this team, the league could be in trouble. But if not, I believe the Giants will be at the bottom of the division. That being said, let me give my division winner prediction.

AGS NFC East Division Winner Prediction– Cowboys. No question. Until any team can prove that they can beat the Cowboys, they will be the favorite in everything. Not just the division. All I have to say is 20-0. That’s my reasoning. Next.
