And just like that the season was over. All the blood, sweat, and tears. All the early mornings. All the late nights. Sacrificing time with the family for one more rep. One more practice. One more day. One more game.

But it didn’t end how it was supposed to. They were supposed to be holding that trophy. They were supposed to be dancing in confetti. It should have been their families celebrating. Their fingers with a Super Bowl ring on it. But it wasn’t.

The Panthers failed to win the biggest game of their lives last year in the Super Bowl against the Bengals. A bitter taste in their mouth. All offseason they had to relive those closing moments. What could they have done? Oh, what they would give to have one possession back. But they can’t.

But they were blessed with another rep. Another practice. Another day. Another game. Another season. The Panthers are more focused than ever. They know what it takes to get there. Bryce Young has a year under his belt and I only expect him to improve. They have an established defense. An established offense. Now it’s about building winning habits to help them get the job done this time. This is what championship teams go through. Adversity. They fall. But they get back up. And when they get back up, they lift their brother up too. And they press forward until they get what they are after.

The Panthers just blew out the Cowboys in week 1. On the field, there was just a different feel. A different level. I expect nothing less from them. They have a bitter taste in their mouth and they won’t stop destroying until they get what they came to get. That Super Bowl Trophy.
