Blockbuster trade between Saints and Eagles have been completed, breakdown of the trade as follows:
Saints Receive
WR DeVonta Smith
Eagles Receive
DE Chase Young
WR Rashid Shaheed
3rd Pick (Projected 18)
Saints were needing to move Chase Young and Rashid Shaheed and they got a Superstar receiver in DeVonta Smith. This trade can easily go down as one of the best trades to help both teams, Saints save millions by not signing Shaheed and Young but receive one of the lowest contracts by a Superstar receiver. Eagles also win due to the interest of Young and Shaheed wanting to play for the Eagles.
Chase Young inks a long term deal with the Eagles for 4 Years $61.6 Mil but Rashid Shaheed and the Eagles could not come to terms on a long term contract upon entering the building. Shaheed and the Eagles agreed to stall on contract talks due to both sides not agreeing on a number, that number was 2 year contract or 3 year contract. But Shaheed absolutely went off in his first game catching 5 receptions for 141 Yds and 2 TDs. This triggered Eagles to offer Shaheed a 3 year contract in which Shaheed agreed.
The Eagles are now Undefeated since week 1 and the team had added big time pieces in order to continue their momentum.
