Pitchers Duel Ends in a Win for the Reds 2-1

Both teams pitching was outstanding with the Red’s prevailing with a late rally in the 9th to win 2-1. Brayan Bello started the game for the Red Sox’s and went 5.1 innings giving up 1 run with 3 strikeouts, while Andrew Abbot who started for the Red’s went 6 innings giving up 1 run while striking out 11. After Bello the Red Sox’s went with Greg Weissert, Liam Hendriks(0-1), and Josh Winckoski, while the Reds handed the ball over to Lucas Sims, Sam Moll (1-0), and then Alexis Diaz (3 saves) for the final two outs. Jeimer Candelario led the offense for the Reds going 3-4 with 2 doubles and RBI, while Will Benson went 2-4 while driving in the game deciding RBI in the top of the 9th. The Red Sox’s couldn’t get much going offensively, but Ceddanne Rafaela went 1-3 with a double and scored the only run, while Tyler O’Neill drove him in with an RBI groundout. The Red’s are now 4-1 and have a 4 game winning streak while the Red Sox’s fall to 1-5 now loosing 3 in a row.
