I still can not believe what I am about to say. The Cleveland Browns are going to the playoffs!
Now this is no knock against the Browns. They are a great team. I’ve been saying that since the beginning of the year. But this team did start 4-6, and the playoffs looked out of their reach. Offense inconsistency was the story again and again. With salary cap issues and chances to improve becoming slimmer because of it, it looked like the Browns would go back to misery like a couple of years ago.
BUT THE BROWNS SHOWED OUT. They won 6 of their last 7 games to clinch a playoff birth in the tough AFC. This team truly defied all the odds. Their backs were against the wall, and they did not hesitate to swing. If you want to know how much fight they have, look who they had to go against to clinch a playoff birth: The Bengals. It’s a team that only lost one game prior to the Browns game. A team that nobody wants to see in the playoffs. But the Browns walked into Cincinnati and pulled out the victory. This team has heart. And as I said before, if this team can get consistent on offense, they are a threat to the league. Well on this run, they became the best offensive team (don’t believe me, look at the stats) in only a matter of time.
To the tough AFC, don’t sleep on the Browns
