“Tunnel Vision”
Those were the few words the Chargers head coach told me as he headed to the locker room to celebrate with his team. What a story! The Chargers are heading to the playoffs! They started the season strong, but they started to slip dramatically. With the Chiefs starting to take control of the AFC West division, it looked as though the Chargers would have another disappointing season.
That could not have been further from the truth. The Chargers won 6 of their last 7 games to qualify for the playoffs. It’s not only what they have done, but how they have done it. In each game, the Chargers showed fight and resilience. When the defense made mistakes, the offense picked them up. When the offense made mistakes, the defense stepped up, like they did with a pick-6 against the Broncos last week. The team is hot right now and a serious threat to any team. If you don’t know, you will find out. The Chargers head coach gave me two words “tunnel vision”. I’m going to leave you with two of my own:
