That was a close one.

Initially, the Chiefs took complete control of the game and it looked like we were about to have a blowout. But then Joe Shiesty showed up. Joe Burrow and the Bengals would score thirteen unanswered points to make it a one-point game late in the fourth.

21-20.

It should have been tied but Evan McPherson missed an extra point. Yes, in a playoff game. That miss will haunt Bengals fans for years to come. Chiefs would march down the field and score to make the game 28-20. I think it is important to note that they were running out of bounds which stopped the clock. The Bengals would receive the ball with 2:49 left in the fourth and that was way too much time. The Bengals wisely made sure that their drive would be the last of the game. Burrow would throw dot after dot to put them in the redzone. And with 10 seconds left, he would use his legs to score the touchdown. 28-27.

And with the ball at the 2-yard line and a chance to tie the game with the 2-point conversion, they came out in Singleback formation. If Russel Wilson was watching the game, he would have had a deja vu moment. Joe Burrow would drop back and try to throw a slant to Mike Gesicki…that was cut off by Dax Hill for the interception. Ball game.

And with that, the Chiefs are headed to the AFC Championship game. Coach Lion has his guys playing their best football at the perfect time. Tune in tonight at 9:30 PM EST to see if they earn a trip to the Super Bowl.
