Raiders get it done behind Allar’s Star Studded performance in a close battle with Pittsburgh The Raiders rolled into Pittsburgh for some thursday night football .and this game did not disappoint it as it was another chapter in this old school rivalry. We thought we would see Bo Nix versus Drew Allar especially after the first drive Nix led the Steelers on with a 62 yard pass to George Pickens that lead to a George Pickens touch pass touchdown. Then Drew Allar and his offense trotted onto the field for the first time on the day after a great week 1 performance from him the question was how would he do under the lights of primetime on his first drive he would come out right where he left off last week. As he would go 4/4 and complete a Catch and run bomb to WR Tee Higgins for 47 Yards. But the defense just. couldn’t stop Najee as Kenny Pickett came in. The Raiders defense got to a crucial 3rd and 5 but gave up a corner route touchdown to WR Rome Odunze. Allar and the offense would get going but Elijah Mitchell would get a case of butterfingers and lose the football. This is where things would get ugly for the raider defense as on the sudden change situation they would give up another touchdown and go down 21-7 early. The offense kept them in the game as Teitoroa “Mcmillions” McMillan caught a bomb to put the game back to one score but again Najee Harris would put the team on his back and score then Allar would throw a interception that they would get right back as Nate Hobbs who was resigned in FA got his first pick of the year. Only issue was the raiders offense had to stall out for 3 points. Can forget Najee Harris looked like Beast mode in his prime on the offensive side too. The Raider defense would hold them to three and go into the half 31-17. They would fumble again but McMillan would pick it up and then Drew Allar would throw dimes down the field to newly acquired Deebo Samuel. The defense would even show up as Nate Hobbs would get another interception. They would get to 4th and 3 at the 32 yard line and you guessed it they would find Mcmillian for another touchdown and Allar would throw his 4th touchdown of the contest.
This is where it looked like tides were changing as the defense got another stop. Allar threw another bomb to Deebo to make it 5 TDs wow. Then Dallas Turner would get a pick. Drew Allar would show off some mobility as he would run right up the middle on a broken play for a 20 yard touchdown run. Then Najee Harris would get a big play and get stopped at the one and Neal would run it in for touchdown to make it 45-38. The offense would drive down the field and Allar and the offense would settle for 3 and make it a 10 point game. Pittsburgh would get down the field and score on fourth and goal from the 4 on a 4 yard run from Kenny Pickett to make it a three point game 48-45. Tee Higgins would score as he burned the DB after the onside attempt failed. This would essentially end the ball game 55-45 the raiders will move to 1–1 and will have to figure out the defense as they will face the red hot LA Chargers this week coming up in Drew Allar’s first home game.
