The Red’s hitters combined for 16 hits with Matt McLain leading the way going 4-5 (1 HR, 1 3b, , 4RBI), Tyler Stevenson continuing his hot streak to begin the season going 3-4 bumping his average to. 478 on the season, and lead off hitter TJ Friedl going 3-5 ( 1 HR, 3RBI) making his average .440. Michael Togila lead the way for the Rockies going 2-3 , with Ezequiel Tovar, Elias Diaz, and Nolan Jones all collecting a hit and an RBI. The fielding proved to be the deciding factor with Brenton Doyle making 6 errors at first base allowing the Red’s bats to capitalize on what should have been outs.
