The Saints are off to an absolute hot start. They are 5-1 and just this past week avenged their only defeat on the season. After doing a deep let’s see what makes these saints one of the best teams in the NFC.

The Saints are lead by rookie QB Cade Klubnik who has absolutely been balling with a 130 passing rating which is one of the best in the league and 16 TDs which is Top 7. The main WR for these guys has been Chris Olave who has a 25.3 yards a catch which is absolutely ridiculous.

Now what makes this team special is its defense. The saints lead the league with 21 INTs, Alontae Taylor has 7 of those. Jaedyn Lucas who is a rookie also has 5 and Marcus Lattimore has 4 also. The saints defense has forced at least 2 INTs every game this season.

Now with all this good there is some bad…..

The saints have been very inefficient in the red zone on both side of the ball and also on 3rd down. They rank in the bottom third of the league in all 3 stats. The saints also rank in the bottom half in rushing yards which is a deceiving stat, because both of their main RBs have over a 4.6 YPC. The Saints have put a lot on Cade who is a rookie but so far so good.

The Prediction All in all, I have the saints as a lock to win the NFC South and making the playoffs as a top 2 seed. If the saints clean up those few things, it’s not reason why we shouldn’t be talking about this team a Super Bowl contender, it will be interested to see where this team goes and how this year will play out.
