The Saints got shutout by the Titans 35-0 in week 1.
The Saints blew a lead in week 2 to a Panthers team that saw Bryce Young exit early with an injury Two weeks in and a game against a SB-winning Packers coach, who was 2-0 at the time; Things did not look good for the Saints. Odds were stacked against them, and it looked like they would be watching the playoffs from home this year. That’s just how bad they looked.
But the Saints shocked the world. They hit a last-second field goal against the then-undefeated Packers to get their first win of the season 22-20. And they have not looked back, winning their last two games.
In a division that looked like it was Panthers the whole way, the Saints have made it a race again. So the question is no longer, “What do the Saints need to do this offseason”. No, the question is, “Who dat said they gon beat them Saints!”
