Most people would say the Texans have had a terrible off season from the outside looking in but they have turned 2 players into a XF young quarterback that we can develop just like we did stroud and 9 draft picks.
Coach Conner in a interview “Losing Stroud and Anderson will be a huge loss for us but we’re looking at it from a upside viewpoint. We have hendon hooker who we think can develop in our offense to be better than stroud. Everyone has seen the way we’ve developed players such as Stingley, Will, and Stroud and we believe with 9 picks in the first three rounds this year we can develop players like crazy and by playoffs the league will be scared. Another big reason we made the move was for cap reasons Nico, Stroud, and Anderson would be asking for crazy amount of money and will our o line getting old we will need to hand out money towards them.”
The Texans only went after one player in free agency this year and that was corner back Greg Newsome. With losing will anderson and not getting to the qb like we used to they knew they would have to hold down receivers a couple extra seconds and Greg brought that to the table.
