From the start of the season, it was clear it was about to be scary. But when the Titans acquired Roquan Smith, it was officially scary hours for the league. Powered by their defense, which is the best, and their explosive offense, the Titans dominated the entire season.

In a world where George Pickens got robbed, my second vote would have gone to Levis. Will Levis proved that last year was no fluke. He threw over 5000 yards with 48 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. But the offense isn’t the only thing that causes opposing teams headaches. The Titans defense is everything and more. They ranked 1st in defensive yards allowed, passing yards allowed, and allowed points. When teams played the Titans, there were two things for sure: You will get clamped and dotted up.

The Titans went 16-1, beating the Colts in week 18 to clinch the division and a first-round bye. After their first-round bye, they went up against the defending champions in the Bengals. It was a great game, but ultimately it was the defense of the Titans who won them the game, forcing Joe Burrow into throwing four interceptions. Next, it was the third matchup with the Colts to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. And once again, the Titans proved that they are the better team, not only in the division, but the entire conference. Finally, it was Super Bowl time. The Titans went against a great team in the Panthers, who were making their second straight Super Bowl appearance. It was a back-and-forth game until the Panthers made a key mistake. A mistake that many teams have made. They tested the Titans’ defense. On fourth and 18, in the fourth quarter, the Panthers decided to go for it instead of punting. Whether it was from the lack of faith in their defense or belief in their offense, the result was not what they wanted at all. Like they have done all season the Titans’ defense came up clutch by swatting the ball down.

From there it was over. The Titans’ phenomenal season had an even better ending. Congratulations to the Super Bowl Champs. The Tennessee Titans. And this is a young team, so we may have a dynasty on our hands. As I have been saying since last year, it is scary hours for the entire league!
