On to bigger and better things…right?

It’s been a gloomy year in Pittsburgh for Kenny Pickett. After starting the year slow and a disappointing performance against the Titans two weeks ago, he has been seeing fewer first-string practice snaps. The Steelers even gave the rookie, Artie Tyson, the start versus the Raiders. The rookie balled out with 294 yards and 4 touchdowns. With Kenny being 27 and coming up on a contract year, the Kenny Pickett era in Pittsburg might be over.

There have been rumors floating around the Steelers organization of George Pickens not being happy. With Pickens moving out of the slot position, he’s gotten the ball less and less. Calvin Austin seems to be getting the majority of the targets and Pickens has been visibly upset. He has been seen throwing his helmet on the sideline after Pittsburgh scores because he didn’t get the ball. When we asked Mike Tomlin about it he said “ We’ve been knowing Pickens is a little immature, we knew what we were getting when we drafted a guy like him. He is a superstar and wants the ball. We will focus on getting him the ball more in the coming weeks. He is our franchise guy”.

Will Pittsburgh be able to satisfy Pickens? Or will things continue to go downhill?
