The Steelers are finally clicking and that means trouble for the entire league. Let me just put this here: In their win over the New England Patriots, Micah Parsons and Barrett Carter combined for 4.50 sacks! The Steelers now rank 2nd defensively after having a slow start to the season. Even after moving Watt, they still have a great defensive line. Micah Parsons, Shemar Stewart, Tyree Wilson, and Barrett Carter get instant pressure leading to easy deflections and interceptions. After a pretty disappointing rookie season, Calen Bullock is doing an amazing job leading the secondary.
And we already know how great this offense is. Najee Harris, although rumors spread that he was on the trade block, is still one of the best runningbacks in the league. George Pickens is the best wide receiver in the league. Pat Freiermuth is possibly the best tight end in the league. And after getting a chance last season after the poor play of Kenny Pickett, Artie Tyson has not looked back at the quarterback position. And last season, the Steelers would make a great move in acquiring Jaxon Smith-Njigba, making this offense nearly unstoppable.
I have continued to say it and I’m going to say it. If there is any team in the AFC that truly matches up against the back-to-back champions (Titans), it is this Steelers team. It’s hard to have a bunch of superstars gel together quickly, so of course they started slow. But now they are clicking, and that means trouble for the entire league. Go Steelers!
