Wow! The Steelers can actually do it this season. After another heartbreaker in the playoffs, the Steelers had enough. They picked up the phone and made a move that just gave them a real chance against the Titans.

The Steelers would lose to the Titans in the Wildcard Round, a matchup that seemed to be the Titans’ toughest test in the AFC. Barrett Carter showed that he may be even more dominant as an edge rusher, getting 2.5 sacks. And if you watched the game, you would have realized that the Steelers may have the best chance to end the Titans’ historic run. But first, let’s talk about what they have on this talented roster.

Artie Tyson got the start early last season and has made the most of it. If he can continue to do what he did last season, we may be talking about him in MVP conversations at the end of the season. Najee Harris has proven that he is a top runningback in the league and I expect him to have a career year with defenses focused on how they will be able to stop the Steelers’ passing offense. Because yes, the Steelers have the best-receiving core in the league. They made a huge move before the Season 5 trade deadline by getting Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Now defenses will have more than Pickens to worry about. And don’t forget Pat Freiermuth, one of the best tight ends in the league.

Defensively, the Steelers will be a literal prison. Shemar Stewart. Tyree Wilson. Barrett Carter. Calen Bullock. And Joey Porter Jr. But for some reason, I feel like I’m forgetting somebody. Oh yeah, Micah Freaking Parsons! The Steelers would nail a trade that sent Culver and future picks for Micah Parsons. The pairing of Carter and Parsons will be hell for the league.

I mean what else do you need to win a championship? They have the offense. And they have the defense. What will stop them? Well, the only thing that will stop them will be the same thing that has been stopping them. Themselves. They have a history of lockerroom drama and getting suspensions. Will they finally stop beating themselves and therefore win the Super Bowl? Time will tell.
