Who saw this one coming? Absolutely nobody!

Last night, the Texans probably pulled the upset of the year so far, beating the Cardinals 20-7. The red-hot Cardinals were taking care of business week in and week out, and many would have assumed that this week would have been no different. Me included. Following an embarrassing performance on SnypzTV, it looked like the Texans were not ready. That shouldn’t have been too surprising considering they are, well… the Texans. If a poll had been done before the game, it would have been a unanimous vote that the Cardinals were walking out with another W to continue their underdog story. However, from the start, both teams looked completely different.

The Cardinals’ defense was put to the test, as C.J. Stroud and the offense showed out. Stroud looked like a true Quarterback, staying poised in the pocket and throwing straight dots. Even still, I expected the Cardinals to come back and win. Up 14-7 right before half, the Texans had the ball and could have taken 3 to go up 2 possessions. They, however, decided to go for the touchdown, which the Cardinals picked off. The score stayed at 14-7 with the Cardinals getting the ball to start the third.

The only problem was that the Texans knew exactly what was coming. They quickly stopped them. And after that stop, the game was all but over. The Texans had all the momentum and the only way the Cardinals could have had a chance to come back was if they could find a groove offensively. But they couldn’t while the Texans continued their great offensive performance.

The Texans shocked the league last night and proved they are not done yet. The AFC South division is an all-out war. And after last night, the Texans still have a chance to take it. For the Cardinals, this is what champions go through. Highs and lows. It’s not about how you fall, but how you get back up. Their underdog story continues even with a loss. The best of the best use losses as lessons. Just like the Texans used their loss on Snypztv as a lesson. I expect nothing but more success from both teams to finish the season.
